122nd Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Birth Anniversary had never been followed up so well in Malbazar.
On 23rd of January, on the occasion of 122nd birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Lions Club of Mal and Mal Police Station had organised a half marathon race for boys and girls from 15 to 20 years.
This race began from Salbari SSB Camp to Ghari More Malbazar.
There were two aims behind organising this marathon race, first was Safe Drive Save Life and another was to Donate Blood Save Life.
At Ghari More, a stage was prepared for prize distribution. A blood donation camp was also installed there.
The way in which we can save lives by driving safely just like that we can also save many lives by donating blood.
Honourable Mr. Bulu Chik Baraik (MLA of Mal) inaugurated the blood donation camp.

BODY SHOW
A body show was organised by bodybuilder Mr. Raj Barai. He performed and showed up his body in many different poses. The people were crazy to watch him perform.
Raj Barai is a well-known bodybuilder in West Bengal. He is also known as Mr. Bengal. He has struggled very hard in his life to become a bodybuilder.
He has won many titles in his career. The titles that he has won are:

Bodybuilder Raj Barai was honoured with a long piece of National Flag by Mr. Vishwanath Poddar and also honoured with a shawl by Mr. Kedar Gajmer.
Raj Barai was invited to the mic in which he shared the journey of his life.
Chairman of Mal Municipality Swapan Saha got emotional after knowing the reason why Bodybuilder Raj Barai could not participate in a bodybuilder show of international level.
Chairman Swapan Saha announced that 1 lakh rupees will be given to Raj Barai on behalf of Mal Municipality.
So that he can participate in many big bodybuilding championships and achieve his goals and elevate the name of Mal town.
Two Civic Volunteer civic 259 Ram Marandi and civic 36 Karwar Kherwar were awarded for their good job and discipline.
AWARDED WITH HELMETS
As every traffic police distribute the helmets to bike riders, Mal traffic police chose five Malbazarians to give them a helmet. The secretary of Mal College Mr. Surojit Debnath and Editor of Uttar Banga Sambad Mr. Videsh Basu, Ashit Saha, Biplab Dey, Shyamal Bonik, were awarded with a helmet and considered them to follow traffic rules in future.
HALF MARATHON
In a male, the winner of half marathon race was Bhushan Oraon followed by Suman Kharia in the second position, Binay Toppo in 3rd, Anand Khalko in 4th and Pritam Lakra in 5th.
In a female, the winner of marathon race was Puja Ekka followed by Rabina Munda in 2nd position, Rajita Oraon in 3rd, Anamika Roy in 4th and Ritu Bara in 5th.
The aim of Mal Police was to remind people that “Life is precious, drive safely and be a hero in real life. You can save many lives and along with your own.”
